When you squat your body will say something completely different. It will probably go along the lines of “****” This is a nightmare, I don’t want to feel like this again, so I’d better make sure I’m prepared for next time”.
So your body will release a bunch of hormones which will ensure growth, so that it will be able to cope the next time that you do the squat. Growth equates to muscle.

The most productive range of reps for the squat is 15-20. Because your leg muscles are the biggest and strongest in your body, they can take a lot of work. So you will want to do a warm up set first, and then do 3 sets of twenty with a heavier weight.
I must warn you though that this is a killer workout.
You will feel dizzy, you will feel weak, you may feel sick, but the benefits are huge if you really want to get some muscle on your body quickly.
Once you can do 20 reps, you need to add about 5 pounds of weight to the bar. Each time that you can do the 20 reps, keep adding weight, and you will keep growing.
Not only is the squat the best leg exercise there is, it is the best muscle gaining exercise out there, bar none. Now you know how to get leg muscles, you need to decide if you want to take years to get bigger leg muscles by doing smaller exercises, or get bigger in months by squatting hard.
