If for whatever reason you cannot join a gym or simply don’t want to join a gym, then you are going to be interested in knowing how to get muscles at home.
The fact is that there are plenty of ways of building muscles at home. A gym would be better simply because of the different types of weight training equipment that you will find there.
Ideally you will want some free weights and a bench. If you do not have the room for a bench, a set of dumbells will do. Just make sure that you have a plenty of weight plates for the dumbells.
Dumbells are more than capable of drastically improving your body and helping you to gain muscle, as long as you train in the right way.
When I say train in the right way, I mean train hard with intensity. Do not think that dumbell weight training is a poor substitute for a big bar, it is not. In fact in can be harder to weight train with dumbells because you have to use more of your stabiliser muscles to balance.
You can do virtually all the exercises with dumbells, that you can do with a big bar.
You can squat, deadlift, press, bent over row, bench press off the floor, and so on. As you can see you are not restricted in getting muscles at home.
Even if at the present time you do not have any weights, you can still build muscle pretty well. Remember that your body is a weight, and can be used for training. Now I’ll reveal how to get muscles at home without traditional weights.
You can do push ups, squats, dips, and pull ups, which are all fantastic exercises for gaining muscle and strength. Once you get to a point where these exercises get easier, you just up the intensity.
This is done by making the reps that you do harder. Instead of doing push ups in the normal way, place your feet on a chair or table, and hands on the floor. Doing push ups in this way really hits your chest and shoulders.
As for the other exercises, you can make them harder by adding weight to them, so performing them becomes harder. You can do this by filling a small backpack with sand, dirt, bottles of water, or anything else that you can think of. This will really increase the intensity.
